What happened to tumblr?

All everyone cares about is followers and being “Tumblr Famous”. What happened to actually posting stuff that comes from the heart, not to just get likes and reblogs. It’s like Tumblr is more like a competition now instead of a place where people can be themselves. Seriously, what happened?
